Fast and Furious | Rockingham (Documentary)
I was commissioned to compose music and perform some technical audio work on this film about drifters. The audio was recorded during the shoot and provided to me. However, I was asked to replace the sounds of the cars. I also did some digital signal processing on the dialogue to make it easier to hear (Compression, EQ and Limitation).
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - Poker Scene (REDUB)
I removed the original audio from this scene and replaced it with my own ADR and audio mix. I used Dancing Queen by ABBA just for the juxtaposition between the song and the scene. Although it's not a perfect fit, I think I have it kind of working.
I used the same track all the way through because I wanted to explore slipping between diegetic and non-diegetic audio. I also used the music to amplify the visuals and story.
Me and a couple of friends redubbed the dialogue ourselves, we're not the best voice actors so we just
tried to have fun with it.
My influences for this project were shows such as Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul because I think the audio work on them is amazing.
